Production: The final Blog!!!, Film completed !!!

Working on a short film with a team for class can be both exciting and challenging. You get to collaborate with your classmates and bring your creative visions to life. However, it can also be stressful at times, especially when the deadline is approaching. We kinda cut it a little close but we made it!! But after weeks of hard work and countless late nights, we finally finished our short film! It was an incredible feeling to see our ideas come to life on screen. We were all proud of what we had accomplished together. There were many different roles within our team, from writing the script to filming and editing. We all had to work together and communicate effectively to make sure everything was on track. We changed them throughout but we never argued and remained at peace.  One of the most rewarding parts of the process was seeing how everyone's unique talents and ideas came together to create something truly special. We were able to learn from each other and grow as filmmakers.

Production: Film Showcase!!

We made the film as a team and showed it to one of our friends to get some constructive criticism. We wanted an outsider's perspective on the film, someone who wasn't involved in the making of it. We knew that our friends would be honest with us and tell us what they really thought. As we sat down to watch the film with our friend, I was feeling a little nervous. I usually get nervous in situations like this, even though my same friend watched my film last year. We had put a lot of work into the project and I was hoping that it would be well received. We all sat on the couch, watching the film on the TV, waiting for our friend's reaction. As the film ended, our friend sat in silence for a few moments, thinking about what they had just watched. Finally, they turned to us and started giving their thoughts. They were honest but constructive, pointing out both the strengths and weaknesses of the film. There were some parts that our friend really enjoyed and thought were well

Production: Editing, Finishing up !!!

After our last-minute filming, we finally knew we had all the shots we needed. I once again helped with the cutting and ordering of our new footage. By the time we had gotten this far into the project, my outlook on editing had changed. Initially, I found it a little tedious and time-consuming, but as I got more involved in the process, I started to appreciate the art of it. I was able to experiment with different cuts, transitions, and effects to bring our story to life. It was really satisfying to see the project evolve into something more polished and professional-looking. I remember spending hours editing one specific scene, trying to get it just right. It was a challenging process, but it was also incredibly rewarding. I was able to add my own creative touches and bring my vision to the screen. Throughout the editing process, we also had to make some tough decisions about which footage to keep and which to cut. We had to make sure that the final product flowed smoothly and made

Production: Filming, ACTUALLY the last one!!

My group and i had been working on our project for weeks, and we had planned to shoot our final scene at the park. However, when we reviewed our footage, we realized that we needed one more shot that we didn't get. We had not planned to film today but we had to.  It was frustrating because we had already packed up our equipment and left the park the day before thinking we finished. We discussed our options and decided that the mall would be the best location to shoot the missing scene. We quickly made our way to the mall and started looking for the perfect spot to shoot. We found a quiet area away from the crowds and started setting up our equipment. We were in a bit of a rush, but we managed to get everything set up quickly. We rehearsed the scene a few times, and then we went for it. It took a few takes to get the shot just right, but eventually, we got the footage we needed. We were relieved that we were able to capture the shot, but we were also a bit disappointed that we had

Production, Filming: Lemongrass!!

Today, we returned to the same local neighborhood where we filmed before. The area by the school is still a very well-kept neighborhood, and there are still a lot of nice shops and restaurants to go to. We started by meeting at the same Dairy Queen and then walked around to scout out new locations to film. We found a few spots that we thought would work well, including a park with some nice houses in the back. After finding our locations, we spent some time setting up the shots and reviewing the storyboard. It was interesting to see how much we had learned since the last filming days, and we had a better idea of what we wanted to achieve and how to execute it. This time, I played a different character, so I spent some time getting into the mindset of the new character. Filming went smoothly, and we were able to capture some great footage. The weather was much cooler than last time, which made filming more comfortable. We also took some time to experiment with different angles and sho

After four days of filming, we thought we were done. We thought we had all the shots but turns out we didn't, ops! We started editing like normal. Got on the phone just like before. We were cutting and putting together footage like before. I found a really good filter to use. We has some issues with lighting glare outside and it helped clear it up alot. I was once again cutting footage. Constantly sending videos to each other is a little annoying but we couldn’t find another solution.  Eventually we encountered a problem. We were missing clips of one specific scene. I think we might have accidentally deleted them. We have to go film again.  We were a bit disappointed at first that we missed those shots, but we quickly realized that mistakes happen, especially on a hectic film set. We tried not to dwell on it and instead focused on finding a solution. We decided to schedule another day of filming to get those missing shots. During the reshoot, we made sure to double-check ev

Production, Filming: Last time!! Mall return!!

Today was an exciting day as we filmed at the local mall again. We had scouted out the location ahead of time, but it was still a bit nerve-wracking filming in such a public place. We started by setting up our equipment in a quiet corner of the mall. We had a few scenes planned out, but we wanted to make sure we weren't disrupting the shoppers. We filmed the first scenes of the day,, and it went smoothly. However, we had to do a few takes because of background noise. It was challenging to keep the sound quality consistent. We also had to be careful not to draw too much attention to ourselves. We didn't want mall security to come and shut us down. The mall was a great location because there were so many different backdrops we could use. We filmed in front of store windows, on escalators, and in the food court. We even got a few curious onlookers who wanted to know what we were filming. It was fun to see their reactions. As the day went on, we became more comfortable filming in
