  Today my partners and I worked to finalize our idea. We changed a few things around. Overall the movie plot is the same as it was before. Young Stephan is the main character; he is a soldier. We changed a few things to add to the specific shots we needed for the film. We also changed the filming location back to emerald hills park. This was done because there is greater access to our basic resources in the area. My grandparents live there. This is helpful because we will be able to get water and other things that we might need. Christain, Jorge, and I will be accompanied by Ty, Griffin, and Graham. They agreed to help assist with the filming process. Griffin and his brother Graham look very similar and will be good to use as an old and young version of Stephan. We decided to go with white shirts and black pants for our costumes. These outfits will look like military troops that are on break. This is the look overall we are going for. We also will use NERF guns instead of real-looking

  Today my group mates and I got together. We decided to meet on discord. Discord is a great way to communicate with different people across large distances. I have been using discord for many years. I have even met friends on it I have had for many years as well. It allows one to join servers. These servers even have their own individual channels. They also allow you to join voice channels to have conversations with people. Discord servers can be public. This means that anyone can join. Often times servers are private and you need an invite to join. Discord is free to everyone. We have been using it to communicate for our project. We are easily able to send messages. We also call each other to show different things that we found. We have streamed looking at movie titles to each other. We have also have gotten distracted before. One night we spent an hour talking about a new video game we had just got, we work hard though!! Overall discord has been a major help in our communication and

  Today I spend some time looking at different options for our editing software. Over the years I have seen many different editing software. Though I have used a few I am not really sure what I want to use this time around. The one major thing I am looking for is the fact that the software is free.  The first considered option was “Divinchi Resolve”. I have used the software before for the music video project. The software overall is very nice. It is organized and very reliable. There was only one issue I encountered, that being the exporting of our project. Overall the effects offered were also very well-rounded and helpful. Davinchi was a great editing software for our purposes.  Today while I was researching I encountered another free-to-use editing software. This software was called “Lightworks”. This is apparently one of the best free-to-use editing software. Though I have not used it before it interested me. I watched multiple videos on the software and it looked very organ

  This week is the week before spring break. Since we plan to film over spring break we are finalizing the planning and direction of our movie. I spent a bit of time today looking over costumes for our movie. Our movie is a general war-related movie. This means we will need army-type uniforms. I wanted something cheap that was also realistic looking. I scanned through amazon looking at our options. One of the main options I found was a typical fully body army man Halloween costume. Those as expected were quite expensive so I started looking at other options. One of the other options I was able to find was a coat of sort with the design on it. This could work effectively as a cheap option with some dark color pants. Though this project is important we do not want to spend too much money on something we only intend on wearing once. We will all continue to finalize our costumes as this week goes on so we can hopefully film next week.  An Idea I had for some kind of make-shift admiral unif

  Today we all decided to do different things. My two partners Christian and Jorge went to look for costume options. They found some great-looking outfits for cheap. I on the other hand was busy with something else. I was looking for and finalizing our filming location. There was a multitude of locations that I considered. After finding all of the possibilities I went to my partners to finalize.  The first location we considered was a public park nearby to my house. The park has nice trees throughout. This setting is perfect for the forest scenes in our production. There is also a nice lake that could be nice for scenery if we need it. Also, my grandparent's house is nearby so if we need anything like water it is easily accessible.  A second location I am considering is actually on the beach. This is more of a backup option in case the park doesn’t work out. My friend Titian lives right by the beach and he has said he would help us with out filming stage. He also said he would

  When we initially began the project we decided that we wanted to use specific songs for scenes of our movie. We had multiple songs picked out that could all work such as “November Rain” by Guns and Roses . We also had the idea for certain movies most were fans of to be used in the movie. After we had heard about the whole process we would need to use some of those songs we decided to reconsider. After a bit of back and forth, we came to our decision. We have decided we wanted to use Royalty free music for our project. This overall would make things easier for us as we don’t have to try to find and wait for permission to use the music. We also can change or add music as we go on and don’t have to wait for permission.  The first place I decided to check for royalty-free music was youtube. I heard from multiple friends that youtube is a great place to look for that kind of thing. I found a youtube channel that specialized in royalty-free music and had a lot of it readily available. Th

  Page 1: The movie opens with a screen showing the name of the production company. The first scene shows Admiral Murphy at a war table. He picks up a communication device and calls our main character Stephan. Stephan answers while hiding in a bush with his friend Charles.  Page 2: Stephan and Charles look ahead at enemy army forces assembling. They contact the admiral back. He is surprised and automatically calls the commander of the nearby platoon. They then inform him that it is clear in their area and no chance of anything going wrong.  Page 3: Cuts to the war room and the admiral hears screaming and loud sounds on the other side coming from the platoon. Stephan and Charles run back and they see the destruction of their entire platoon. They then call back the admiral and report:” Code Black”. Fades out and shows the director.
