Music Video CCR

Attached down below is the CCR Google slides project I did.

What an experience: Finished Music Video

Well making this video has been quite the experience. This was the very first time I ever attempted to edit anything. Honestly watching this video back it came out a lot better than I expected it too. There are a few things I feel like we could have improved upon in the video. The first major thing I feel we could have improved upon was the overall structure of our video. While I feel it wasn’t bad it feels a bit lacking content wise. I know it all has to do with activities in the park but maybe I would have liked to have a few more moments of introspection or more character interactions so the video wasn’t just shots of characters doing things. The second thing isn’t really something I would change per say, but I would edit the video so it was a bit more visually pleasing. As I stated earlier this was my first time editing so I didn’t really know what I was doing. This project involved a lot of experimentation and stepping out of out comfort zones. Overall I am happy with the w

Editing: And......done!

Today I began the final stages of editing the music video.  I began by re editing a few clips that I now realize were too long. Some clips were not cut properly and had some parts showing unimportant things such as the street while waiting for Jorge to come into the shot. As well as one shot I forgot to save all together, and had to re-edit.  After fixing that Issue I then moved on to putting the last of the clips together. I then messed around with the transition shots between the clips. I ended up using multiple different ones for each shot. Some scenes transitions better suited them than others.  Usually if there was a major scene change I found a transition shot that best suited it. One example of this was when everyone ran out of the forest. I used a transition shot right before the jump cut so it would flow better.  I then moved on to the audio part of the video. I downloaded an audio version of the song from youtube to emp3. I then took the file and dropped it in the softwar

Editing: This is fun!

Today I had more time to just experiment with the editing software as well as edit more of the video. I made sure to call my group members and see if they had any major things they wanted to make sure of.  I finalized all the clips that I edited. I had to re download and re edit a few of the clips, I didn’t know what I was doing the last time at all. I was also better able to organise all the different clips. I also named them better because the names began to confuse me slightly.  After the videos I watched I was much better able to understand how the basic actions of the software are completed. I was able to start the major aspects of the editing like compiling the clips themselves together. I also messed around with the different transitions to see which fit each scene best. The software also offers different  color options, with which I tried them all out just to see what they would do. I might end up using a few of those for the final version of the video.  After you act

Editing: A new thing to learn

I began the main process of editing our video today. Last night I set up the editing software to download on my computer so it would be ready to use. The download actually took quite a while and was finally finished after I woke up. When I first opened the zip file my computer actually crashed. I later realized I tried to open it twice, which was not good.  I went onto my icloud and moved all the footage to a folder on my computer so I could easily upload it. Online icloud is quite annoying to access so it took me a while to figure it out. Eventually I was able to upload all the pictures to the editing software. But the first time I tried uploading them I just uploaded pictures by accident.  After all the clips were uploaded I looked at the entire interface of the software. There is a lot of things so I basically began clicking random things to see what would happen. While doing this I accidentally closed the app and had to reupload some of the videos.  I also renamed all the clips s

Filming: A productive day!

Today was the official start to our filming, and it went surprisingly well.  We started by meeting at the filming location in the early afternoon to make sure that we would not run into sunset too early on. I was responsible for carrying the storyboard as I was the one who drew the pictures. Along with Jorge and Christian I also has two other friends come with too help us film as well, we felt like more people in the video would enrich the video.  I started off by reviewing the storyboard and explaining everyone's main roles, not that they were too overly complicated. Jorge in a sense played the “main character” but the video mainly just attempts to show people not really tell a specific person's story.  My one friend was running a bit late so I shot a few of the establishing shots which we didn’t need everyone for.  After my last friend arrived we began to shoot the main shots. Since I drew the storyboards I was mainly responsible for the actual filming aspect and I
