Production: Filming, ACTUALLY the last one!!

 My group and i had been working on our project for weeks, and we had planned to shoot our final scene at the park. However, when we reviewed our footage, we realized that we needed one more shot that we didn't get. We had not planned to film today but we had to. 

It was frustrating because we had already packed up our equipment and left the park the day before thinking we finished. We discussed our options and decided that the mall would be the best location to shoot the missing scene.

We quickly made our way to the mall and started looking for the perfect spot to shoot. We found a quiet area away from the crowds and started setting up our equipment.

We were in a bit of a rush, but we managed to get everything set up quickly. We rehearsed the scene a few times, and then we went for it.

It took a few takes to get the shot just right, but eventually, we got the footage we needed. We were relieved that we were able to capture the shot, but we were also a bit disappointed that we had to spend more time filming.

Overall, it was a good lesson for us to always double-check our footage and make sure we have everything we need before leaving a location. We learned that sometimes, things don't go as planned, but it's important to be flexible and find creative solutions to get the job done. We know now to triple-check before we say we are done. Despite our setbacks, we were able to finish it.

Filming: Completion!

  Today was the second day we were able to film. The first day we got a majority of the shots we needed but there were still a few things we needed.    The first thing we did was go outside to the track like we did the first day. Rashawn showed us what he had edited so far. The clips looked good so far, the lighting was specifically really good looking. Rashawn slightly altered the lighting making the actors pop more.    After we viewed the clips we then retook the shots we needed to. We redid the eye-level shot as I was squinting the first time we took the shot. The second time thankfully I was not blinking and it worked out well. We also redid a shot of us running just in case we wanted to use it.    After that, we helped Rashawn with the editing process. He is the main editor so it mainly consisted of us peering over his shoulder and giving him our ideas.  We got to see a near-complete version of the advert today and it looked very nice. Partners, For the Final Time!

    For the third project we were assigned I decided to work in a group. My group consists of Jorge Lopez, and Christian Bundalevski. I typically like working in group settings because I feel like the different perspectives help provide a better final product. Obviously, I have had group projects in the past that were not so stellar experiences but I feel as if this project will go much more smoothly. Being able to choose groups is very nice as opposed to the teacher deciding.  Jorge Lopez, I have known for many years. We first became friends in the 5th grade and stayed friends all throughout middle school. We ended up going to the same high school together and spent much of last year in discord calls together along with another friend, but that is a story for another day. I have done projects with Jorge in the past and he is very good at coming up with creative ideas.
