Hello, my group and I have started researching for our short film. To better understand, how to make a short film, or what a short film is about, we decided to explore how to make a short film. I decided to research 12 Monkeys and La Jette. I didn't do the movie, I decided to read the Newspaper about these two movies. The article about La Jette was very interesting and I liked what the films were about, and why the audience's attention was grasped. After reading the article, my result was that it had a story and a history behind the story. In addition, the story also had characters that didn't deal with history and made the film draw the attention of the audience. However, the part about the 12 Monkeys was without limitations, and also explores the viral epidemic that is spreading, and for my group and I it allowed us to relate that back to Covid 19. We have also decided that this is a great science fiction film.  While reading the article we have gathered, that even though we got the basic information about it as well as the scientific aspect of it we feel as though, we missed information because we didn't watch the movie. Yet. However, as we read we realized that the filmmakers did put a twist on reality so the audience could relate to the problems they may be facing in life. We also noticed that the author that write the article supported her opinion with, titles from different movies. Such as, 28 days later, Contagion, and Brazil. We also noticed that the mis.en.scene and the farming of the movie 12 monkeys are indications of time travel and futuristic. The article even went into a deeper understanding and stated that the people of lesser social standing came to distrust their government and the world around them. We think this can help us in the short film process so we can understand that the film has a deeper meaning. Also, we can use the mis.en.scene shots to get better angles and portray the film better so that the audience will want to keep on watching. We also noticed that we could take different, special qualities from other films, that can help us in our film.  Hopefully, the film goes well. Wish us luck!
