Production: Filming, Its hot!

Today we filmed in some local neighborhoods! The area by the school is a very well-kept neighborhood. There are a lot of nice shops and restaurants to go to. We started by meeting at the Dairy Queen, and then we walked to find a spot. The place we decided on, I liked because there was a big rock to sit on. We spent some time reviewing the storyboard and checking the script. I play Charlie! We filmed the first few scenes faster than expected. It was so hot though, so we took frequent breaks. We then decided to stop for the day and went to a local restaurant called "What the Pho." We like trying a bunch of foods from different cultures. I got some beef pho, and the broth was actually really different from the place I went to before, so that was a pleasant surprise. Today was a fun day of filming. We made a lot of progress and changed a few of the little details around. For one, my character's name is Charlie now. Also, a bit of the dialogue is more improvised than directly read from the script. I tend to fare better with improvised dialogue. When I give speeches and things like that, I never read off the script. I feel like you can better articulate words to speak. Overall, I'm really excited about the project, and I can't wait to see how everything turns out! The director was happy with the footage we captured and we're all looking forward to the next filming day. It's amazing how much work goes into even just a few scenes. But it's all worth it to see the final product. I'm grateful to be a part of this production and to work with such talented and creative people. It's truly inspiring to see everyone's passion and dedication to their craft. I'm excited to see what we'll create together next!
