Filming: We are done!!!

    
 Today was our second day of filming. Jorge was thankfully able to join us this time. Having the extra person was a big help with filming many scenes. He also offered some helpful insight to different ways to film certain scenes. He also helped me reshoot a few we felt were not good enough. With the Film review feedback, we could fix a few of the issues we faced. 

We reshot some films that are looking back on them, were a little silly. We want to make a somewhat more serious type of film so it was important the scenes were not very silly. We also changed the whole ending fight scene. We changed it from multiple troops charging at each other, to a 1 on 1 fight. Overall I felt that this better suited the plot of the film we were making. 

I was once again responsible for holding the camera for the scenes. I was also responsible for directing and telling everyone where to go.I also changed the way a few scenes were set up to improve overall flow and quality. 

Today unfortunately we did not have ty helping us. Though we didn’t have Ty, we had Jorge. He has watched many action films and was very helpful with advising scenes that I wasn't quite sure about.

Overall today went well. I once again had a lot of fun.

Partners, again!

       For the second project we were assigned I decided to work in a group. My group consists of Jorge Lopez, and Christian Bundalevski. I typically like working in group settings because I feel like the different perspectives help provide a better final product. Obviously, I have had group projects in the past that were not so stellar experiences but I feel as if this project will go much more smoothly. Being able to choose groups is very nice as opposed to the teacher deciding.  Jorge Lopez, I have known for many years. We first became friends in the 5th grade and stayed friends all throughout middle school. We ended up going to the same high school together and spent much of last year in discord calls together along with another friend, but that is a story for another day. I have done projects with Jorge in the past and he is very good at coming up with creative ideas. Editing: Experimentation

       Today was the second day we had in class to edit out commercials together. We began by having Rashawn show us what he had so far. He ended up transferring our work to Adobe Premeair cut Pro so we got to see that program too.    We then began to tinker with the lighting a little bit and ended up settling with more lighting than before. We also experimented with different sounds or music clips but we ended up staying with what we had before.    While watching Rashawn edit we all became curious about how the program he uses worked. I am learning a bit of adobe due to my marketing essentials but only the photoshop aspect. I know next to nothing of Premiere Cut Pro. So Rashawn came up with a proposal. He decided to make us a copy file and we each fiddled around with the software a little bit which was quite fun.    We used the lighting options to put a black and white box over our faces and watched some clips play by, that feature was my personal favorite.
